Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast who was considered to be one of the top athletes. She was the first American female gymnast to have won four gold medals at only one Games. In Rio de Janeiro, she became the first female to ever win consecutive World All Around Titles (2013-15). Biles was born within Spring Texas, in the Houston metropolitan area. She and her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone discovered her love for gymnastics as a young girl during an excursion to the day care center Bannon's Gymnastix and was there for 11 years under the coaching of Aimee Boorman. Biles was awarded a gold medal in the floor exercise, and also a bronze in vault during the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the top level of gymnastics competition in the year 2011. Biles was a dominant athlete in less than a year. Biles's consistent, exuberant nature and high degree of effort in her four events -- vault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise, and floor exercise -- set her aside.
